| - Years and years (okay, who are we kidding, decades) after I first started shopping here with my mum, I still think this is the best mall in Pittsburgh. I'm not a big shopper by any means, but that's one of the reasons I like Ross Park: they have enough quality stores and selection in those stores that I can go in, find something that I need, and gtfo in a reasonable amount of time.
Also, they have a great round of free-sample-stops in the food court. You can just breeze through in one sweep and get at least 4 different types of chicken to tide you over when you hit the clearance racks at Macy's.
I actually live closer to the Waterfront, but in my experience, the same stores that are there and in Ross Park will, the majority of the time, have far better selection at the mall. Ross Park's Express, Gap, and Victoria's Secret all have much better and more varied selections than the same shops at the Waterfront. I'm not sure why this is, but I always make the trip out to Ross Park to do my clothes shopping (as a bonus, it's on the way home from my gym, so what better time to try on clothes than after a workout??).
In recent years, some more 'high end' stores have moved into this mall, but there is still enough variety on both ends of the spectrum with an Old Navy, a New York and Company, and the regular department stores mixed in with Lucky Brand, True Religion, and Coach.
And of course, my favorite Buckle is there, with the personal-shopper-esque salespeople who help me dress like I'm Apollonia and it's my big debut opening for the Kid at First Avenue. Love it!
