Went to Rembrandt for lunch today and ordered their special baked lasagne which comes in a pan served on a plate. This is a fix that I enjoy every several months and never dissappoints. The plate is piping hot, the top is covered with melted cheese and underneath is a mountain of soft noodles covered with a tasty beef and tomato sauce. To eat it you need to use a knife to cut the whole thing in small pieces but well work the effort. Our orders came with a basket of piping hot garlic toast which was a perfect accompanyment.
Service was pleasant and efficient. The owner Tasos dropped by to offer his opinion of the Greek financial crisis and we left feeling full and satisfied. It was one of those "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" moments.
I have marked my calender to ensure I don't forget to repeat the experience in the future.
