First taste of Peruvian food. The young man at the restaurant was really very helpful, and patiently answered all our questions.
We ordered anticucho (heart), poor man's steak and lomo saltado with beef. While waiting we had a glass each of chicha morada and inka cola. Food was good. Especially loved the lomo saltado. The anticucho was tasty. Really liked the Chicha Morada, but definitely not for everyone. Inka Cola was interesting. Tasted like bubble gum (Hey, might be good with Vodka).
We left with a bit of a hefty bill, but overall agreed food was delicious enough to give it another go. So the following night, we went back and got the special. Whole rotisserie chicken with Peruvian fries and cilantro rice. The green sauce they give you is so good! This 2nd visit the bill was more manageable. Plus, server gave us some Canchas to go :)
