  • It's unfortunate what changes have been made here, not in terms of ambiance or beer list (though natives of Lawrenceville will surely groan), but in terms of attitude and employment. Im particular, I witnessed the bouncer upstairs (a black gentleman with dreadlocks) harass a white gentleman and an Indian gentleman at 1:30 for no apparent reason at all. They were asking people to leave the upstairs (the upstairs bar was still open though), but he was kicking people out who were just on their phones without other people around. He started getting in their face and escorting them to the exit for no reason I could discern. He used their frustration as evidence of intoxication somehow. It's a shame that New Am has decided to be the shady/unsafe bar of Lawrenceville. To Hambones I go...sigh.
