I come to this location for gas all the time and occasionally for groceries. Today, however, I came in for two things in particular.
I needed a few bunches of bananas and a handful of lemons. I quickly got what I needed and headed to the self-checkout where I was able to make my purchase right away. The self-checkout is fairly easy to use and I rarely encounter any problems while using this option. This is besides the point. Anyways, I paid for my groceries, grabbed my bags (what I thought was all of my bags), and left. My bags were heavy because I bought three big bunches of bananas, so I thought I had grabbed everything from the bag turnstile. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I was missing something... My freaking lemons! I probably wouldn't have cared as much if I didn't pay .79ยข per lemon, but I knew I had to go back. I quickly dialed the number for customer service and spoke with Michelle. I explained my situation to her and how badly I had goofed. I was embarrassed to say the least! She told me that there weren't any lemons left at the self-checkout registers, but instead, she said I could come back and get a bag full of lemons to replace the ones I had left! What!
I went back to Smith's and saw Michelle helping other guests at the self-checkout registers. I approached her and she told me that I was free to go grab more lemons! She was extremely sweet!
