General admission is $9, but teachers get in for $7! The main exhibit on the history of the South and Charlotte is all located on the first floor. It's very hands on and interactive, which kept my interest the whole time!
However, I LOVED the four temporary exhibits on the second floor even more. They included:
1. Know Love, Know Peace: focused on police brutality
2. Love Is Love: portrayed LGBT rights
3. Church Signage: displayed hysterical church signs, such as "come try our Sunday's... they're better than Baskin Robbins!"
4. Art Exhibit: created by developmentally disabled adults. Being a special education teacher myself, this tugged at my heart strings immensely, and getting to meet some of the artists was a special treat.
Overall, this was an afternoon well spent in Charlotte!
