you cant claim to really know vegas, unless you know about little gems like these around town that receive acclaim (featured in Bon Appetit Mag) and is hidden from the out of towners and tourists... and hidden is an understatement... its situated in a seedy strip mall, but i can only guess that it was the shiznit back in the day - seeing that the Las Vegas Country Club is within a stones throw away...anyways:
the GRUB:
- downright tasty... seriously good thai food - pad thai, panang curry, etc.
- the drinks were a plenty... and ice cold thai tea on a scorching vegas day is pure heaven.
the JOINT:
- janky ass strip mall, im surprised they continue to stay here
- the indoor dining room is cramped and sometimes poorly lit
- awesome AIR CONDITIONING
- wait staff and owners are so nice and genuinely concerned
the SQUUEZE:
- they have a decent lunch buffet, but i tend to order off of the menu
- they take all plastics, cash, and casino chips (j/k)
- priced reasonable for thai food off strip
come here because the food is grub and the reputation is upheld by a strong kitchen and authentic recipes... but avoid at night, and especially during full moons; keep your wallet close; and keep reminding yourself that you are still in las vegas...
