| - Wow. What a find. I was tired of all the touristy places on Yonge street so I decided to hop on the 506 street car and go for an adventure.
As I got off the street car, I was thinking to myself "this can't be right" as it's a 3 block walk through a residential neighborhood to get to the street this brewery is in, and then you turn right, then left, then right into an unmarked alley to find the place.
But, having found the place, I felt right at home. It's housed in an old industrial building with a very tastefully decorated tasting room. Once the brewing is done for the day, they also pull out picnic tables in the brewery area for expanded seating.
Most everything has a baseball them, hence the name of the brewery, from the score board on the wall, to the names of the beers, to the baseball bat inspired tap handles.
The beer was good as well, I had both the IPA and the pale ale. Also got a bottle of their collaboration coffee porter to go for a friend that lives both baseball and porters, and look forward to trying it with him over the holidays!
If you're looking to explore breweries in Toronto, don't limit yourself to just the downtown area. Step out of your comfort zone, hop on the streetcar, and give this one a try!
