| - Solid across the board, which is all you can really ask of any coffee shop.
This Second Cup is quickly becoming one of my preferred destinations for meetings. I've been in here twice in the last three days, the first time just hanging out and waiting for a friend to get in from the city, and the second a marketing/planning meeting with a potential client. Both times have been great and the coffee/tea is always really good.
Yes, you have to ask for the key to the washroom, and yes, it's an annoyance. But I'd rather have some degree of exclusivity and not have to worry about the half-dozen homeless guys who loiter outside the building using the toilet as their own personal quarters.
Otherwise, the atmosphere and quality of the experience has always been uniformly good. There is the odd noise problem, but by and large the place has a very quaint, relaxed feel.
This, along with the Starbucks over near the P.C. Lighthouse, is one of my favored spots for coffee in the village, and this is probably my favorite Second Cup I've been to.
