I cannot explain how much I love this place. Gourmet doughnuts... A fancy foodie girl's dream. Every experience has been a good one.
I started going there back in Dec. 2014. I special ordered cheesecake and gingerbread filled doughnuts with hanukkiot and dreidels drawn on top for my Hanukkah party. They were not only adorable, but delicious too!
Then, for Shavuot, another Jewish holiday, I special ordered the cheesecake ones (a traditional Jewish food on this holiday) with a commandment written on each one. Think "Love thy parents" "One God" "Don't Kill" etc. They were perfect and delicious once again. The next day, I had a special order for a different party and somehow my order ended up at the wrong location. Not exactly sure how it happened but when I went to pick up they were so apologetic and gave me my order for FREE. I couldn't believe it and left them a huge tip.
Today, I picked up a quick half dozen gourmet ones for a birthday. It's been a sad day.. We had put our dog to sleep... And I probably looked like I had been crying... As I was walking out with my order, the nice young man who helped me said, "Here, someone special ordered these but never picked them up. Take them." They were red/pink velvet with sprinkles. My favorite cake with my favorite topping... How could he have known?
Their prices are fair for their upscale doughnuts. They are consistently incredibly good. They put dunkin donuts across the street to shame. They are my go-to when I need a sweet treat or a cute gift. Everyone needs a doughnut once in a while... When you have that hankering, do yourself a favor and go to Pinkbox.
