  • Hands-down the most special cafe I've been to in Montreal or Canada or in the world?! I always bring my out-of-town friends here for a coffee pause after walking around old Montreal and admire the beautiful ceiling and the old bank service booth behind the counter. A lot of students like to study here so there might be a lack of space to sit on weekend. The server is attentive, latte is beautifully crafted and they don't even accept my tips! (That's incredible compared to other cafes that force you to select "15-20%" tip on their machine for a filtered coffee to go). For "lap-top hobos" , why not another cafe with windows & sunlight? It's pretty dark inside, probably better suited for friends' gathering on a snowy/rainy day.
