Oy, did I just get a lousy sandwich from this place.
Whenever I've gone to any Coco's, I've ordered the turkey-avocado-jack-croissant sandwich. They have been consistently good--till today.
The croissant had an odd flavor; the inside looks like it was tossed on the grill, where probably it picked up a bunch of old grease.
The avocado--which used to be a nice amount across the top of the sandwich--now consists of two and a half sad little slices that were lost on the sandwich. The cheese and turkey are OK and as usual I remove the wad of iceberg lettuce and tomato, but those weren't the problem; the greasy-tasting croissant and the minuscule portion of avocado were the problem. I disposed of the croissant and am consuming the remains of my deconstructed sandwich with a fork.
The fries tasted like old grease too--maybe the fryer needs to be cleaned and the oil changed. Holy cats--8:49 for this???
They are the closest one to me but not convenient. I hadn't been there for a long time and it will be an even longer time before I return, if I ever do.
Giving two stars instead of one because of good sandwiches past.
Goodbye, Coco's.
