| - My bride-to-be friend and I walked into the Dress Room (the business' card says "Becker's Dressroom", but that's not on their signage) on a rainy Saturday morning. Despite not having an appointment (recommended, ladies) they slotted us into a dressing room and a very helpful, take-charge lady brought us an armful of dresses after a short consultation with the B2B.
She did a great job of picking dresses out for my friend - she even found a few the B2B wouldn't have considered in the first place, but became major contenders. They can accomodate a wide variety of dress sizes (at least 6 - 18, judging by the other women I saw there), and they have a great selection of dresses, varying from couture-funky to Barbie-traditional. They also can accomodate a variety of budgets - everything we looked at was under $1000, and one of the frontrunners was $290. Of course, remember that alterations will run $100 - $250 more.
They also have an excellent selection of shoes and jewellery: better than the other two stores we saw that day. Most of the shoes ran from $100-$200, and the jewellery was in a similar price range. Veils ran $50 and up.
I was happy with Becker's, and so was the B2B.
