Between their move and my travel schedule I haven't been to the Farmer's Market for quite some time and this is my first trip to their new location.
I'll admit that I had high expectations given all the hype and excitement their management attempted to create around the move and grand opening. Unfortunately those expectations were for the most part dashed.
I've trying to be as objective as possible when making the comparison between old and new but I can only come up with one positive thought on their new digs. They're cleaner and (obviously) don't show the wear and tear from the old site. But thats where it ends for me. Many of my favorite vendors are no longer there (Sourdough Bakery and Hoven Farms to name two); the parking is abysmal.
My impression is that its a newer, cleaner, slightly better organized version of the Blackfoot Market (which I find to be a rat trap) and is bordering on a flea vs. farmer's market with all the crafts and chotchkies.
