  • I heard a lot of really great things about this place before I finally went. Needless to say I really wanted to like it and to finally find decent barbecue in Charlotte. Unfortunately my meal was just average. I got the brisket platter with mashed potatoes, stuffed jalapeños, and hush puppies. The BBQ sauce itself was okay. The brisket average quality average taste. The mashed potatoes were a special and it was weird they served them with turkey gravy. I wish they would've asked if I wanted gravy because I would've said no. Turkey gravy and brisket is a bad combo. Hush puppies were excellent. Jalapeños were okay... Not a huge fan. The pecan cobbler with ice cream was ridiculously good! Service was excellent. I still prefer a long drive to Lancasters.
