  • This is one of my favorite airports to travel through, and this is coming from a guy who lived in Portland for 10 years which supposedly has the best airport in the US (their opinion, not mine). PHX Terminal 4, which is the largest, just has a great layout that makes accessing what you need very easy. You can park in the garage, get in an elevator, and get dropped off exactly where you need to be. No walkways or long walks from the garage to the terminal. The mezzanine level where one can wait for arrivals is like a mini shopping mall with plenty of stores and places to wait for your friends to exit out of the secure area. The SkyTrain also makes it easy to travel from Terminal 2/3 to the economy lots and onto the Valley Metro station which will give you access to downtown via light rail. Easy to be picked up on either the north or south sides of the building. Just tell who's ever coming to pick you up the door number and either north or south. Very easily labeled inside and out to find your party. The only downside is once you're through security, depending on where your gate it, it can be a bit of a walk.
