| - Gosh this place is cute. You'd think that a business with no signage outside would be hard to find, but it's not, just look for the huge wooden door that marks its location.
The inside of Gabi is airy and inviting, they have traditional tables, sofas, and in the back on a large set of stairs, Korean style seating. The green house in the center of the room is where they make their desserts and other pastries.
I chose to have a blended vanilla chai and a green tea bun that had red bean paste inside. The chai came in a fun glass and had lots of extra chai seasoning on top, so if you mix it in, it gives the drink a stronger flavor. The green tea bun was lightly sweetened from the red bean paste and came out warm. I also got to try the chocolate croissant which was flakey and chocolatey both from the chocolate drizzled on top and from the chocolate that had been folded in.
2 notes of importance: 1) they serve desserts only after 3pm and 2) now that Gabi has been featured in a few newspapers and online, the weekends are very, very busy. We got lucky that as we were wandering around a couple was getting up to leave. Know that if it's busy you might have to take the goodies to go. I am planning on coming back with other friends in the near future, the food and drinks were all great, I just think next time I'll try to get there on a weekday.
