Since moving downtown, I've been on the hunt for the best vietnamese sub within a 10 minute walking distance from my place. It seems like you can never find a proper vietnamese sub on a real french baguette anywhere except for in Chinatown or somewhere in the deep NW. This place was no exception.
I am actually eating my sub as I'm writing this review. It's mediocre. I've been ordering satay beef everywhere I go just to establish some consistency. Their satay beef has a decent amount of heat, but I find that it's too salty. The toppings are processed cheese (which I forgot to ask for none of), julienned carrots (not pickled), cucumber, and shredded iceberg lettuce. I was pretty disappointed that I didn't get any cilantro. The only thing I like about this sub is the at they used a peanut sauce which was pretty good. Other than that, I kind of want to throw this sub out.
I also ordered some spring rolls which were awesome, but who can really mess up spring rolls? It might be the only thing other than the peanut sauce that is saving this from being a 2-star review.
