  • I've been to many dog parks across the country and this one is the best. Just go to Cosmo in Gilbert ONCE, then come here and you'll see what I mean. Since I live less than a mile away I go almost every day and I can tell you that consistently the regulars self-police the place. They (we) will let you know if your dog did his business when you weren't looking and so you need to use that park-provided bag to scoop that up. There are a few regulars that spend at least two nights a week just picking up other dog's poop. People take pride in the place. I've seen a few fights but they are broken up very quickly. Although the park was designed to separate the big and small dogs, the regulars aren't a fan of this. We don't do segregation. As far as I know, there have been no small dog deaths and maybe only a minor injury. I've been going for five years now. Tempe Dog Park rules. Oh, the only negative is that the park is shared with little ones of the human kind (lots of baseball and soccer going on) and those people like to double park when the parking lot is full (even though there is plenty of parking across the street) which wreaks havoc and really frays my nerves. The little humans might be slightly less predictable then canines when they are allowed off-leash so watching for them to run between those double parked cars is stressful...
