If you are not on welfare, do not go here. My sister goes here because she has no choice. She has mental retardation and lives in a group home and Mountain Health is the only place that accepts her insurance. When I call, I get 10-20 minutes of wait time before a human answers the phone. Then I'm told I'll get a call back, or better yet, transferred and hung up on. I have made at least a dozen calls to this place and have been called back two times, and after getting really upset and demanding to talk to the office manager. Today's choice experience was when the Triage nurse did not want to give me her name. Can you imagine how you would feel if the physician asked you why you wanted to know his or her name? And then only gave a first name, and then argued with you why you would need to know a last name? This is the level of professionalism here. They are understaffed. They do not answer phone calls in a reasonable time. They do not return phone calls. There is a real problem. The only good thing I can say is that the office manager was very reasonable on the phone. I have a feeling she is trying to manage a herd of cats. This place needs to be investigated by a state or federal agency, because they are taking welfare money, and the patients are getting bad care. Calling your doctor should not be a process that takes several days and multiple messages and waits of up to an hour just for Mountain Park to pick up the phone. It isn't one person but the whole clinic that is a disaster. I wish I could give zero stars.
