I've been here before, but only for drinks. This time I took a lady-friend who was feeling down in the dumps about some personal stuff, and we had lunch.
At the suggestion of the bartender, she ordered the pot roast, as comfort food was something missing from her life. What she got was 3 helpings of delicious mashed potatos, with a slab, not a slice, a slab of tender roast beef with mushroom gravy and fried onions on top each of the 'tater scoops. This dish was something my mother, grandmother and all other double-X types in my family wish they could make.
I had one of their salads, which was excellent. (Knowing that her eyes are bigger than her stomach, I wound up with 1/2 the pot roast; good deal for me).
