This place is the most authentic korean i have been, in the downtown core. Sure theres korean grill every couple of blocks but they are definitely not authentic i find that they are in theory but taste it is so much different. Korean food is mainly spicy and here you will find really spicy fire chicken which in korean is called bonga buldak sans the place's name. Aside from that ttokbokki (pronounced tapuki) is really good nicely cooked and flavorful. The general appeal of the store is a basic family run looking place, not the fanciest decoration but specially at night they play korean music video and the place is flocked with young korean students. Me and my boyfriend frequent the place and are known by face by the owner ( i believe). Service is nice and people are pretty attentive. Price is good as well and you can have a dinner with a side menu for around 25 for two people.
