I signed up for a Cyclone 45 class knowing that it would be the dance format that I don't really love but is a great cardio burn with or without the extra movements. It was a last minute sign up through Classpass, and when I received the confirmation from the studio with bike assignment I could tell by the number that it would place me front and center, which I didn't want, especially as it was my first time at this studio. When I arrived and checked in the front desk associate was very friendly and had no problem assigning me a different bike.
My only other experience with dance cycling was at Xcylce. The immediate difference between here and Xcycle is space. You're not sitting on top of the person next to you so it's just more comfortable as far as personal space, and during the hand weight portions you don't have to worry about hitting the person next to you. I don't know if this a regular feature of Cyclone classes or not but in this particular class there were two instructors, two bikes on stage. One instructor primarily walked around cuing while the other instructor stayed on the bike keeping the cadence and demonstrating the moves. I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to cycle classes so I didn't do the more dancy moves, but I still enjoyed the class and would take it again.
As far as prices go I think Inferno is a better deal in comparison to Xcycle because not only do you get a cycling studio but you get pilates, bootcamp, and HIIT classes.
