  • For the people who give this place bad reviews, I agree with everthing you've said up to a point, but you have to understand that Mccarthy's is actually two different bars. During the day it's a neighborhood bar with cheap drinks and locals who hang out, most of whom are actually above 30 years of age (amazing I know). But here's the catch. Around 10pm Mccarthy's transforms into an overcrowded drunken meat market filled with loud desperate 20 somethings overflowing with testosterone and estrogen. It is possible to enjoy this place. Just get the hell out before 10pm.
