I was a member of this club for a very long time without any major issues. I lost my Visa card that they had on record and therefore one of my payments did not go through. They called me and I provided them with the new number and to my surprise they billed me $10 for NSF fee. I requested that fee to be waived as it had never happened before and it wasn't my fault. After jumping through a few hoops and trying a few times and being unable to talk to the Manager, I ended up asking them to cancel my account. The assistant to the 'Operations Manager' was extremely rude and told me to go talk to Visa to ask them why my payment didn't go through (seriously, who hires people like her?).
When you cancel, you are given a form that you are supposed to mail to the head office in Irvine CA (USA). I ended up spending another $10 to send it via registered mail. After all, it is about the principle and not the money. I hope one of their executives reads this and does something about it. This is no way to treat people. Shame on you LA Fitness.
