  • [drumroll] Today, I had the pleasure of eating at my new favorite restaurant, Petra, for a business lunch. The restaurant itself is so lovely- a perfect meshing of vibes. Ahem, not pretentious, as I'd ignorantly preconceived. But after my 1st sip of "Seriously the best iced tea I've ever had", I couldn't have cared less about the atmosphere. The food & service is what makes Petra my new favorite. The service is friendly & not overbearing. There was a very minor mistake on 1 portion of my lunch but it was graciously & quickly rectified. As previously mentioned, the tea was the best. Ever. We chose our fare from a 3-course menu that incl. an ap, an entrĂ©e & a dessert (for $15!) plus a couple additional appetizers. Between the 4 of us, we had: zucchini chips, revithosalata, spanakopita, stuffed mushrooms, avgolemono, chicken pita, batzaria, gyro pitas, baklava & Greek yogurt. We mm'd & ah'd thru almost every bite. The only critiques we had were: spanakopita could've used about 25% more filling & the batzaria could've used more spinach leaves to better offset the beets. We debated whether we could live off the zucchini chips alone, cooed over the yogurt presentation & considered having the baklava's babies. 2hrs later, back in the office, I was already daydreaming about my next visit to Petra...
