I ordered a refrigerator online from Leon's. I was happily surprised they offered free delivery as well as removal of my old fridge to the curb.
The deliverymen were super nice. They put on protective shoe covers. They were quick, polite and careful. However, I was surprised that they left the new fridge in front of the opening with instructions that it wasn't to be plugged in for an hour - then just push it in - it's on wheels. Off they went....
They did not check if the fridge was level or explain how to level the fridge. That's pretty crucial information.
The papers that came with the fridge made no sense, so I tried to shim it. That didn't work because the fridge was on wheels it kept rolling off the shim.
Feeling pretty frustrated, I called Leon's Service Department in Scarborough. Got put through to Waseem the Service Manager. 416-291-3818. Nice guy. He's sending someone out tomorrow to level the fridge. I level my washer & dryer no problem. I just can't figure this leveling mechanism/casters out.
If Leon's reads this - I would have appreciated the option to choose between "free" (for handy do it yourselfers) or "full set up & leveling" delivery at an additional cost (for seniors and the not so handy) but this option was not offered online or by the delivery people. At the very least Leon's should instruct their delivery people to explain how to level the fridge or give them the option to sell this additional service as needed as they deliver items.
Overall I'm happy with the product and Leon's responsiveness. I have no problem buying from Leon's and/or online again.
