Triple C has some of the best IPA's - and the fact their brewery is also a great place to visit helps too! The location is not great though - it's not near anything else that you really want to be around, but thanks to Catawba Brewing opening a location that is a short drive away, it's a little easier to make a run to each of them so you don't go out of your way on a tour.
Beer is key for a brewery - and they have a wide selection of brews - and they experiment enough with new stuff that, while not always good, is at least different. i.e. Grill Friend is horrible, but Mike's ESB was wonderful. 3C is a great IPA as well.
Atmosphere is the next key component - if you go into a place and feel unwelcome, it doesn't matter how good the product is. The staff at Triple C is wonder - they provided chalk and a spot on the cooler for my kid to draw on, then proceeded to draw with him. A random member stopped in the middle of stocking the cooler when he overheard my wife and I discussing a beer we tried and had a long friendly conversation. The patio area is relaxing - lots of chairs and a few games (one thing that could be improved). And peanuts....tasty peanuts to crack open and eat to make you want more beer!!!!
Oh yeah - if you have a peanut allergy - go elsewhere!
