We were on this side of town and stopped in based on a friend recommendation. They raced about the food and said it was an institution.
The inside has photos all over of Bubba's travels and him on everything from the great to Paris with a Bubba t-shirt on.
The menu is tight and has traditional bbq to chicken and waffles (I assume that's a trendy add). We opted for the family meal so we could get a little bit of everything. We picked the ribs, chicken tenders, baked beans, potato salad and onion rings. The ribs were not fall off the bone tender so not my style at all. Kids said the tenders were okay and we had to buy buns for the chopped bbq (they did come steamed).
Staff was friendly and very accommodating however it's not making my top 5 list of bbq in CLT area.
