  • Recommended by my brother, Joshua, I brought by HP DV-2000 to DJ after resigning it to junk, parts only, and the dust bunnies beneath my bed for over a year. After all, this is the second laptop HP sent me after the first did the same thing the second did---but while under warranty---and kicked the bucket. I did my own personal best troubleshooting and trying to fix the hunk of junk. The monitor just quit and after following advice on forums, tweaking the hardware, I quit. BestBuy wanted to charge me $60 to diagnose, which I decided against, and their tech staff suggested buying a new hard drive. Well, that was a no go. Long story short, I took it to DJ. For $25 he ran complete diagnosis and the next morning calls to tell me he had it up and running. He told me that like other models like mine he'd worked on, the fan overheats causing the video to die. For a mere $125, diagnosis included, he'd take it apart and create a better ventilation system to help prevent such from occurring again AND add a free Macafee Antivirus. And cleaning out the dust bunnies, etc. AMAZING! Affordable is right! And Fast, Amazing, and Superb Service should be added to the title of his business!
