I had a appointment at 12:00 to get a MRI so I arrived at 11:30 to fill out what ever paper work that might be needed. I signed in and stood at the counter I wasn't addressed or by no one in fact the receptionist didn't look up so I sat down and proceeded to wait in the lobby with three other people. At 12:15 I was called to the counter to "now" fill out my paperwork...when it was finished she then said that the co-pay was $100 I explained that I had on me was $60.00 and that I called several times to find out what the charge and was told that they didn't know but would call me with the amount. That never happened... I don't use a ATM or charge card and pay with cash and all I had on me was $60.00 and to just bill me for the $40.00 and was told no it has to be taken care of now. I then said that I would have to go to the bank (just a few blocks away) and get the balance and was told that I would have to reschedule. So after waiting for a month to get a MRI appointment and calling several times to get a amount I was turned away because of the $40.00 balance? The office staff wasn't rude but they were barely lethargic and didn't acknowledge me. Very very poor customer service. I will NEVER step into you place of "business" again and will report to my insurance company and doctor of your poor practice.
