| - We rent cars about six times a year and this was our worst experience in a long time. For starters, this is located at Advantage rental car, but it's not clear where to stand in line for E-Z when you get to their stall. There's a turn-style type line with an Advantage sign, but the E-Z sign is on the opposite side. Since there was someone standing next to the E-Z sign, I assumed that was where to go. Apparently not. After waiting 15 minutes, I was told to join the other line (the person in front of me in line apparently had something else going on). Once I moved to the other line, I had to wait another 45 minutes. There weren't even that many people, but each transaction took at least 15 minutes and they only had 3 representatives working. Of course, multiple managers walked back and forth while I was there, but not one of them thought, "Gee, there's a line of disgruntled customers. Maybe I should get behind a computer and help out!"
When I finally got to the front, I made it clear up front that I would bring it back full, didn't want any extras and didn't need insurance, in order to hopefully speed up my transaction since my toddlers were melting down from the long wait. The guy helping me was very rude and condescending. Plus, he tried to add on a car seat at which point I had to remind him I didn't want any extras. He smirked at me and I'm convinced he moved a sloth's pace just to annoy me further. Their computer system is also cumbersome and slow. I had to electronically sign about five forms and it took at least two minutes for each form to load.
Overall, the pain and annoyance of this place is not worth the small cost savings. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. I know I will next time I travel to Phoenix (in a few months).
