Target has been a godsend to a confused and newly acclimating graduate student. Friendly staff have pointed out everything from dryer sheets to floor lamps to britta filters, often walking me there personally. I admit I'm sucked into Target's lifestyle boutique shtick, and I'm okay with that, especially because their ish is pretty and I wants to feel all bourgeois and satisfied like the clean, shiny people in the advertisements.
In short, this place for all its banal corporateness made a confused kid feel slightly more at home, and I ain't gonna fault them for that.
