Our first initial visit here seemed positive but quickly went down hill. We take more of a holistic approach to healthcare but greatly respect modern medicine.
My husband was misdiagnosed with "scabies" when he actually had chiggers, his skin was so inflamed from the cream they'd given him for scabies he looked like he was burned in a fire. The PA he saw (Mitch) hardly looked at the bumps and prescribed him the cream. A week later my husband was back and saw Dr.Dino who was helpful and knew exactly what he was looking at.
We saw Jenny as our Ped for both children. He was respectful of our decision to delay vaccines as both of our kids have gut issues.
My BIGGEST complaint was when we had to make a visit the day before thanksgiving for our daughter who had a nasty cold. Mitch in my book is a complete joke. He saw that our daughter wasn't vaccinated and before he even did an exam said he believed it was whooping couch and then went on tell us (in front our 4 yr old) that our six month old would probably die! Then told us how his 40 yr old brother inlaw died of some weird phenomena because he wasn't vaccinated for it (because phenomena and whooping cough are the same thing?) anyhow we knew he was using scare tactics to get us to vaccinate so we made the appt for the following week and took both our kids home to die (not even joking). He is a terrible, terrible PA and does not by any means respect individual healthcare choices. We canceled our holiday plans and held out hope our kids would recover. After two ER visits our kids were tested for RSV! The ER nurse told me that she was shocked a DR would not have suggested it as a possibility as their ward was filled with kids who had RSV. The ER Dr. Had nothing nice to say about Mitch's "diagnoses" either as our kids didn't not have ANY signs of whooping cough!
We have shared our experience with this practice with several dozen families in the area and several have switched away. I would not recommend this place to anyone who has an opinion about their own healthcare and is looking for a proper diagnosis.
I called and left a message with the office to have them update our daughters record with what actually happened, that she was in fact diagnosed with RSV. A nurse called me back and was very rude, no apology whatsoever for how we were treated and never heard a word from Mitch! The nurse said all that her chart said was that she had an upper respiratory infection. I would have LOVED to have been dismissed from their office. I still can't get them to take me off their ridiculous "patient portal" email list!
