Be aware of the "rules of return" at all Bogarts. Unfortunately, the Summerlin office of Bogart's has employed a liar and it may happen at any of the other stores. I won't use her full name but the employees name started with a "Ch". I had not been in Bogarts to buy dog food or have a grooming in nearly two years. I know back then they did not take returns at all so with my finicky toy poodle I never went back to them. Additionally, the reason I stopped going to the Summerlin store for grooming two years ago was that they were having constant problems with every groomer they had (I had at least three over the year I brought my toy poodle puppy there.) The last groomer I had seen there left a one inch cut into my toy poodles penis. I believe they fired her shortly thereafter but by that time I had enough problems. Then last month I was told by a friend that Bogarts now took returns on food. I called the Summerlin store before I even went because I MUST get my money back if the dog won't eat product as I am a 100% disabled veteran on a limited income with no family or husband to help with finances. The employee "Ch" told me YES they do take returns within 10 days with receipt. SHE NEVER SAID THEY ONLY RETURN FOR STORE CREDIT. Had she said that I would have NEVER driven 5 miles out of my way. I have three dog food stores within a mile on me on W Lake Mead. Then, when I showed up I asked once again if I could return with no problem and "Ch" once again said as long as it was within 10 days. A SECOND TIME "CH" NEVER SAID THEY ONLY RETURN FOR STORE CREDIT. For a $57.50 bill on food and a 10 pound dog that hates/craps/or throws up most everything I have previously bought I would have been out the door empty handed had I been told those words either time I asked. I will stay with Petsmart/Petco or Amazon that guarantee an unconditional 30 day return. The owner, Rachel, would not listen to me. She was more concerned that my voice was loud over the phone than helping resolve the problem of an employee that did not disclose the full truth. When I told her I would leave a bad review based on her employee's deception, Rachel was whining about how hard she worked to make the store a success and I should not be allowed to ruin her good name. She said "if I give your money back I'll have to do it for everyone". She said "the receipt says receipts are needed for store credit or exchange and it says nothing about a refund" Number one...you have already been charged by the time you see the receipt. Number 2, who the hell LOOKS at the receipt after the fact. By then you have already charged it and now you still can't return except for credit. You expect the damn employee to tell you the truth when you ask them point blank TWICE. And one time "Ch' was lying to me looking right into my eyeballs. "Ch" got on the phone and lied to her owner, Rachel, saying she informed me of returning only for store credit... to protect her job I'm sure...and I got screwed with having to accept a store credit when there may not be anything I can purchase there in the future. My dog is too finicky on food. I already have plenty of personalized service dog vests and leashes. He doesn't play with store bought toys preferring a sock at home. I have had a previous heart attack and Rachel and "Ch" her lying employee stressed me out so much I had to take myself to the ER. Rachel should have done the right thing and returned my money back to the credit card. I was a great customer for Rachel the first two years I lived here buying many products when I had much easier to purchase for cats at that time and having my puppy groomed there for nearly a year until the groomer abuse was just too much. Other than the gift card that I may or may not use in the future I will never return to Bogart stores or suggest them to anyone again. I feel like I was totally scammed.
