I went to whole foods with my service dog. He is an ADA recognized registered service dog that I have used for years. This particular time I had him in my arms as he was cold (we went first thing in the morning). A worker came over to me and announced he was the store manager, ALEX NEELEY and proceeded to scold me for holding my dog instead of putting him on the ground. Alex told me that I was not allowed in the store and that he knows the ADA laws. This was all done in front of everyone, I was mortified. He did not attempt to talk to me discretely or even kindly. I was absolutely embarrassed as I was trying to explain that I could hold my dog and that my service dog was still doing it's job.
I will be notifying the Whole Foods Regional Office of my experience.
