  • No night out in the Valley's gay universe is complete without making at least a token appearance at Amsterdam. The dcor is miles above and beyond that of most nearby LGBT bars, partly in that it has a dcor. Despite being a bit cramped, the flow from dance floor-to-indoor bar areas-to-outdoor patio bar area works all right. Like one reviewer noted, it's a crowd and atmosphere is well-likened to a micro-version of WeHo's Abbey, though I don't think Amsterdam has a daytime business (e.g., Sunday brunch). Despite the internal hype, I have consistently been disappointed by Amsterdam's martinis.
