Excellent restaurant. Went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. 30+ minute wait was well worth it. The dining rooms next to the bar can get a little noisy but if you request a table upstairs you will be able to enjoy your meal with a beautiful view of the capitol building and not have much pass-through traffic.
I got the spicy burger (waitress recommended), a house bock beer (similar to Shiner), and their wedge salad. All were excellent and I would easily order them again. I'd best describe their menu as elevated bar food. All of it was executed quite well, perfectly seasoned, and had a refinement you don't find in many bar/grills. And don't forget to add the fried cheese curds as an appetizer!
I ended the meal with there rye old fashioned and was a little disappointed in how weak the alcohol was in it. It was tasty and presented well but barely even had a shot in it!
Hit this place up next time you are down town Madison and you won't be disappointed!
