This place has changed a lot since their days as Owl & Firkin. Now being just Owl, it's kind of confusing to see this in my event planner with friends, and we have to always double confirm that it's not Owl the Korean place.
I'm thoroughly liking the new decor. At the same time, I miss the pool table (although I rarely ever played it).
Foodwise, I don't really crave for anything on their menu. They have whatever an Irish pub offers - mediocre bar food and cheap alcohol. The price is good enough to head back week after week. Since their food isn't as satisfying, I've been pre-eating elsewhere. I think many other people might be doing this.
The best item off their menu is definitely Irish Nacho with chili and bacon on top. Aside from that, I have yet to re-order anything else from their menu.
I'm very conflicted to rate on their service level. I'd like to say mediocre service with either not so attentive servers or overly pushy servers. But then I will feel bad. They are always willing to change the TV channel for me so I can watch my preferred sports event.
