| - I love, love, love katsu curry and this place makes it the best. Four stars for the food, and extra star for the amazing customer service.
You're immediately greeted when you walk in and they promptly seat you. We came at a perfect time (~8pm) because it wasn't busy at all. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted so our server was very patient and got our drinks. He was very enthusiastic -- which is hard to find in some servers nowadays. He made sure he was available for us when we did decide what we wanted.
*Check in on Yelp to get free potato salad OR seaweed salad (**one per table though!). I'm still iffy about any kind of potato salad and it threw me off what there were little pieces of apples in this potato salad. It was still good, though.
Once you get your food, the server shows it how to make your own mixture of katsu sauce. There are two bowls -- one with katsu sauce, one with sesame seeds. You put the sesame seeds in another bowl and grind it, then add katsu sauce! I love sesame seeds so I grind a lot for me.
I ordered the ebi (shrimp) katsu curry. Yum, yum! The portions were good sized: half the plate was rice, the other half was curry (with potatoes and carrots) & two jumbo shrimps (I wish I got one more shrimp for it being $15). The plate also came wth salad and miso soup on the side, so I guess that made up for the price.
I love this place and the food is amazing, but I'd probably only come when I've saved enough money to spend $15 on a plate.
