"Are we gonna get stabbed?" said my friend as we rolled into the parking lot on a dark, rainy Saturday night.
I couldn't blame him. The plain white building, poor outdoor lighting and the barely visible "Pinball Hall of Fame" sign had the markings of a CSI episode.
Fortunately, once you stepped inside the joint, you're transported into massive arcade of retro pinball machines and games. It felt like I was in an episode of Black Mirror's "San Junipero".
You have walk each row and gawk at all the machines. My personal favorite was the Apollo 13 pinball machine and the old school bowling set-up. Games ranged from 50ยข to $1.25 (I think?). I mostly stuck to the old machines because they were cheap but fun nonetheless.
The owners are nice and eclectic. The guy reminded me of "Doc" from Back to the Future.
As I left, I heard a kid say, "Did place is better than Game Works!" and kid, I agree.
