BE AWARE.
I saw Dr. Hsuing twice and was very disappointed each time. He is so arrogant and his tableside manners are even worse. He was explaining to me how he wanted to proceed with a possible surgery, he stopped speaking, so I asked a question and he said "Can you please not interrupt me, I'm trying to explain something to you." My boyfriend and I couldn't believe he said this. Any doctor that will not allow the patient to ask a question at anytime is not the doctor I want in the surgery room, caring for my long term health and not to mention have to deal with that attitude each time I would have come to see him for a follow up appointment. To also put in prospective, on a second follow up appointment I explained to him that after my first exam he gave me it made me feel a lot of discomfort and pain afterwards and his response was it was "just me" and that he was doing everything right. Well, after the second exam it was worse than the first time. I listened to my gut and vowed never to pay or step a foot in Dr. Hsuing's office again. Not to mention the receptionist could not figure out how to print a receipt and if I owed anything for my appointment. The nurse assistant seemed like she was on her first day at the job.
I researched and found a fantastic surgeon in Los Angeles that is personable, honest and upfront about procedures and recovery. He by far has a lot more knowledge in the colon and rectal field. The drive to Los Angeles has been worth every penny and I am proud to say that I properly healed. There was NO comparison between the two doctors. Dr. Hsuing received a F in my grade book. I honestly thought it was a malpractice case I was dealing with. BEWARE. Don't let the glitzy Web site or office fool you.
People please use your gut feelings for your health and if you feel Dr. Hsuing is not providing you what you want, please know there are far better professionals in his field to help you heal.
