I really don't mind that the renovations to the hallways are not complete, but it's the little things that this hotel fails miserably. The remote for the TV doesn't work and the front desk can't seem to be bothered to fix it. The wi-fi that I'm paying for is horribly weak, and the two computers in the lobby with a solid Ethernet connection aren't even complimentary. The hotel cafe makes a mean latte, but the pastry and bagels they sell... Well, I wouldn't think of purchasing them to give to one of the many bums and panhandlers that lurk all day and all night by the front door.
I don't mind the small rooms at all. I'm used to that having done a little traveling in Europe, but would it be too much to ask that the hotel be ready to provide small travel sized toiletries such as toothpaste for those of us that had theirs confiscated by over zealous airport security?
Save your money and stay farther away from the city center, or spend a little more and stay at a better hotel. One star, as a half star isn't an option on my yelp app.
