| - Not sure what the deal is with the one star reviews for this place, but I tend to be pretty critical of my shopping/dining experiences - especially when it comes to health foods - and HB Wellness rocked my socks!
I work within walking distance of this location and a coworker invited me to join him for lunch the other day. This coworker and my employer have been raving about HB Wellness for weeks, so I was excited to oblige.
FIRST IMPRESSION
Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and asked if it was our first time. The guy serving us was super into the menu and all the little details that set HB Wellness apart from any other smoothie stop. He took plenty of time to describe how their menu worked and make sure that we understood the order process.
ORDERING
About the order process: you should know that the menu is HUGE. We're talking a chalkboard list of 40 different smoothie options here, folks! Just $7.00 buys you a huge, low-calorie, protein-rich smoothie + a tall drink of green tea.
The smoothies are incredibly creative and surprisingly delicious. Not only that - they're also super thick! Took me about an hour to drink down both my tea and my smoothie. (They give you the tea first to jumpstart your metabolism while you wait for the smoothie.)
We took our order back to the office, but ordering only took less than 10 minutes in total from order placement to final smoothie handoff, during which time we sipped on green tea and perused the premises.
AMBIANCE
HB Wellness is set within a large warehouse, part of which features some sort of huge furniture refurb / antique store. I'm not 100% sure what it is, but it makes for interesting shopping, especially this time of year!
The HB Wellness smoothie shop itself is spacious and well-decorated with tons of super comfy indoor seating and clear signage which is creative without being distracting or difficult to decipher.
CONCLUSION
I couldn't be more pleased with this addition to the area health food options. As previously mentioned, I can tend to be very critical of health food, but HB Wellness easily makes the cut. Everything from the setting to the service to the pricing and portions = EXTREME VALUE.
I will definitely be coming back for more. And I'll do like my coworker and bring friends! If you've never been, GO! You're missing out until you experience one of these delicious smoothies. So make a point of stopping by sometime soon!!
