We were at the Wynn and decided to have lunch. After checking Yelp, Red 8 looked like it would be a good choice. We were immediately greeted and seated. It was a Saturday and was very busy for the lunch hour.
They have a nice dim sum menu along with several entrees. We started with the bbq pork buns and steamed shiu mai. Both came out quickly and were hot. The pork buns were okay, but I have had much better. The shiu mai were good, but didn't seem made fresh in house.
We also ordered the Shanghainese soup dumplings (3). We felt the same about these, they were good but we have definitely had better. We finished with chicken and broccoli which they made special for us and fried rice. The chicken and broccoli came out luke warm but the fried rice was excellent. For a $100 lunch I would expect much better food.
I saw many reviews complaining about the service but we had excellent service from Joanna and Dorothy throughout the meal. They were very friendly and constantly checked on us and made sure our drinks were full.
