| - The best place for sausage in the city, period.
Great selection. Friendly hipster-ish-looking meat-slinger dudes ready to answer any question and help you get the meat you want. Bacon. I mean, what's not to love?
The service here is super fast, even though they'll sometimes be packed on weekends. Some of their products are available at other retailers as well (Penn Mac in the Strip and Market District Giant Eagles for example), but if you can make your way to the actual Parma shop, it'll save you a couple bucks a pound.
Favorites: salami rustico (hard salami roll that is great for snacktime), prosciutto, and their hot cap. I use their meats for my monthly charcuterie plates, and they are so fresh and flavorful.
They've also got you covered for breakfast meats, including a few different types of bacon, and awesome chorizo that I've used many times in breakfast frittatas.
The only negative I could possibly think of is that their hours are a little limited. They close at 3 on weekdays and 2 on Saturdays. But as long as you can make it in early, you're in for a real meat treat. (Yeah, I said meat treat. Because that's what it is. Heck yes.)
