| - This is the best "ER experience" I have had thus far. Of course, I certainly did not want to GO to the ER, but I had a very scary cyst on my FACE that looked infected. I tried to get into my PCP and was put on wait list. I called my Derm emergency number and NO ONE called me back. I have a background in medicine so I knew that this had to be looked at. I had a Doctor friend call in doxycycline and it was only getting worse every day over the 4th of July weekend. I thought it might be MRSA. I cannot recall the name of the Doc but she was blonde and said she would basically take it out, send it to pathology, try another antibiotic but I may not really need it and also she would inject the area with a steroid to reduce the scary inflammation on my cheek. I was numbed and she confidently said she got all of it. Gave very sound advise. She and the staff put me at ease. Also, I literally walked in, filled out paperwork and was taken back before I even sat for a minute. I have nothing negative to say about the experience except for the fact that I had to be there in the first place. Of course, they don't FILL medications, there are Walgreens right up the street. Now, the scar is healing and when I DID go to my PCP she said that nothing grew in culture and that this is exactly what a Derm would do anyway. You would wait MONTHS to get into a derm. If you have an emergency, go HERE! (I hesitated to put this up as I thought the next time I need to go there it may be busy) But they so deserve the praise. Also, a medic called about 2 days later to see how I was doing. A+
