| - I've always been a fan of the Wynn Towers and stayed at the Wynn back in 2008 with my husband. Since then, I've tried other hotels and fell in love with Mandarin Oriental so I never felt the need to stay anywhere else. However, my girlfriends from MA were visiting Vegas and their timeshare was near the Wynn, so I took it as an opportunity for me to try out Encore.
I was not disappointed, in fact, I signed up for the Wynn's Insider club because I was impressed. However, it lost a star because of certain things that irked me, but don't get me wrong, this is worth 5 stars, to each their own, right?
Here are the pros of this place:
-beautiful place
-beautiful decor
-casino doesn't have loud, obnoxious people...all the time
-you can't smell smoke in the hallways and the shopping areas
-lots of shops, bars, restaurants to choose from
-connection to the Wynn for more dining options
-nightclubs and different pools to choose from
-room service is top notch and very fast
-great service
-bell guys are very friendly
-everything looks pristine
-personalized name on your room key
-check out was a breeze
CONS:
-to upgrade to a higher floor than the 30th floor, you'd pay $30 a night (this is important if you don't want to hear the noise from the nightclubs every night)
-WIFI is only allowed for 2 devices
-valet defeats the purpose when you still have to walk to the valet area and then have them pull your car out 10 feet
-the noise all hours of the night if you're not on a higher floor and even on the 50th floor, you can still hear it
-the walls are paper thin, I can hear my neighbor flush his toilet and brush his teeth while I'm trying to sleep
-the lobby bar wreaked of smoke, which means if you're staying there and walking by there to get to the elevators, you're inhaling a lot of smoke.
-far from the strip
-view from our windows were great on the left side where it shows a bit of the strip and their golf course, but on the right, it was just dirt. Not worth it to get a view of the strip, I should have gotten view of the golf course.
So that's how I felt about it overall. Would I stay here again? Probably, and would recommend anyone who wants to stay at a nice place without needing to go on the strip everyday.
