| - Had the Mongolian beef with fried rice, crab puff, egg roll, and egg flower soup. All this for just $5.65! The crab puff was the best I've ever had, but the egg roll was just average. The fried rice and Mongolian beef were excellent and the egg flower soup was above average. The food was ready quickly. I did not order any beverage since there was none listed on the menu and the server never asked if I wanted anything to drink. However, the elderly gentleman at the next table was sipping some tea with a metal tea pot next to his cup. Darn! I would have ordered tea if I knew that was an option. The menu was in both Chinese and English. Chinese speakers walked in and placed orders.
An older Asian woman took care of everything from seating guests, to taking orders, to serving orders, to busing tables, to ringing everything up. She was awesome. There appeared to be one other employee cooking in the back. The decor is eclectic Chinese and there are roasted ducks hanging in a case and live fish (in a tank that really needs to be cleaned). Interestingly, I could not find any roast duck items on the lunch menu. Maybe it is a dinner time thing only?
This Hong Kong restaurant is located in a strip shopping center on the corner of Dobson and Southern Ave and is adjacent to a Korean, Vietnamese, and another Chinese restaurants and an Asian grocery store. There is parking close to the door, but the parking lot is very busy so finding a parking spot can be challenging.
I would return again to try other dishes.
