  • I bought a pineapple upside down cake there on Monday. It and everything there looked fantastic! After dinner when we went to eat it, we discovered it was not fulled cooked. (batter still in center and just plain gooey textured and tasting). I called and was told i could bring it back so i did. The girl who took care of me apologized and said i could have my money back or just exchange for comparable item. I was understanding of the situation as it really could have just been a fluke. I chose a caramel apple coffee cake...it looked so scrumptious! Got home and immediately cut a slice... the beautiful 2 inch crumb topping was exactly that- crumbs.. no binder at all. ALL of the crumbs came falling off the cake. the only way to eat the crumb topping would have been with a spoon scooping it out of the box. The cake was only ok without a topping. I don't know whats going on here, but last year when i frequented the place, everything was so yummy! I will still get my chocolate making supplies here, but doubt ill be lured into a bakery item again. Its sad too- hardly any local bakeries around any more.
